Ripe With August Rain

The August rain hanging in the air this past weekend made for some mist-filled photos. It wasn't raining quite yet, but very soon after these were taken the sky spewed its downpour upon the wedding taking place below. Luckily, the venue had been moved indoors.  

Wearing a T by Alexander Wang dress, Diane von Furstenberg wedges, Swarovski crystal necklace & earrings via Security Jewelers, Tiffany's bone cuff, and Prada clutch. 

The sheer sections of this dress weren't enough to stave off the stifling heat of the midwest in August, but the wedding was a blast nonetheless. It's always good to spend time with family. 

Sundressing for a Wedding

I bought the dress, and then, unsure about the shoes, asked my mother what she thought of wearing wedges with it. "They're showing $5,000 dresses with wedges, you can do whatever you want," is essentially what she responded. And she was so right. 

I wore this for one of my best friend's weddings in Minneapolis, and loved how the look came together. The wedding was a blast, and generally way too much fun. Congrats to the happy couple!
