Sundressing for a Wedding

I bought the dress, and then, unsure about the shoes, asked my mother what she thought of wearing wedges with it. "They're showing $5,000 dresses with wedges, you can do whatever you want," is essentially what she responded. And she was so right.

I wore this for one of my best friend's weddings in Minneapolis, and loved how the look came together. The wedding was a blast, and generally way too much fun. Congrats to the happy couple!

What do you think? Do wedged dress it down too much? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Wearing 3.1 Phillip Lim dress (on sale!), ChloĆ© wedges, Badgley Mischka earrings, and a clutch from American Apparel.

  1. The wedges are perfect. Floral prints may be trending, as they say, in more formal dresses, but to me they have been and always will be informal, light, free, as one would want a summer dress in this heat to be. And anyone attending a party at a mansion on the water in West Egg would surely agree.

  2. You look wonderful! That color look amazing on you. Yeah, I had that dilemma last week trying to find heels for an event and wondering if wedge heels would work. I didn't buy them but I do regret it.

  3. Great blog, just found it and am now following you. I think so called fashion 'rules' are now so blurred that you can almost get away with wearing anything now. It was once frowned upon to wear black at a wedding, but I had my bridesmaids in it!
