Hot Hot Summer

 I took these photos in Denver before I moved, on what felt like a pretty hot day. I forgot how hot it gets in Phoenix though! I'm definitely going to continue living in floaty sundresses, probably into September. Happy Wednesday!

Shopping Break

Before I moved, I took a break from packing to head to Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale. Kaleidoscope

I'm all moved in to my apartment in Phoenix, Arizona, and almost entirely unpacked, though shoe storage continues to be a problem. I forgot how hot it is here in the summer, especially during monsoon season, but I'm loving it so far anyways. How was your weekend? I'd love to hear what you did!

A Moving Day Movie

Today is moving day, so I thought it only fitting to show you this video is from a few summers ago when I lived in Arizona. My friend Brent Henderson is the genius behind the camera. I hope you enjoy the video!

I'm pretty excited to be going back to the desert, and especially back to my friends and family there, though I'm definitely going to miss Denver and everyone here. It's always so tough saying goodbye! I'll be taking the next few days off for the move, but I hope you have a fabulous rest of the week and a wonderful weekend!

Enchanted Gardens

 One thing I'm going to miss most about Denver is all the beautiful gardens everywhere. Flowers don't grow quite as well in the desert, though at least there will be plenty of cactus. And now it's time to get back to more packing.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Today is my birthday! Saturday night I went out to celebrate with some of my favorite people, and also to say goodbye to everyone before I leave town. I'm sad to be leaving but excited about everything that's in store for me in Phoenix!

I finally took the plunge and bought myself some Manolos, and thought Saturday night was as good a time as any to debut them. It's safe to say I'm in love.

Casual Friday

I've been running around like crazy all week, and still have so much to do. I'm moving to Phoenix next week, and so have been getting my car serviced, packing, buying boxes and more boxes, squeezing in last minute appointments, and generally finalizing all those details necessary for a move. My apartment is slowly being taken over by a growing pile of boxes filled mostly with shoes, clothes, and books, so far, and there's still a lot more where that came from. Packing up the kitchen is the worst part, I think. Everything is so fragile! I'll be taking a break from packing this weekend to celebrate my birthday and say goodbye to my friends on Saturday night, though I'll likely spend most of my actual birthday (on Monday) still packing. Anyone want to help? Have a great weekend!

Sun Hands

It's been pretty hot here all week, and no music fits the heat better than the Local Natives' song called "Sun Hands." Check it out, it's perfect. As is the rest of their album. Stay cool, my darling readers.

Mint Condition

While I am not generally one to wear a ton of color, mint has a been an obsession of mine this summer. Both the flavor and the color. I especially love it with pink, and am going to have to paint my nails pink the next time I wear this skirt. I love it with silver too though, thus the heels. What's your favorite color this summer?

Painting the Roses Red

This is the first appearance of peplum on the blog, which seems strange considering how much I like the trend. Apparently I was just waiting for the right piece to add to my closet. It's not at all strange that I found it at J. Crew. 

On another note, who else wants to move to Portland and be surrounded by rose gardens? I spent a wonderful few hours here with one of my best friends, and couldn't have been happier. Even with a sinus cold, the place smelled fabulous.
