The End of an Era

 The beginning of August brought with it the end of summer for me this year. I am returning to school next week, and unfortunately, am therefore ending the regularly scheduled daily posts on this blog. I have loved every minute I have spent on The Champagne & The Stars in the past year, and will certainly continue to post as much as possible, but school takes precedent. My love of fashion, and the blogging community, will never wane though, so you can rest assured that I'll still be around, commenting and posting when I can. Thank you, thank you, for all of your kind words and support. I couldn't have done it without you! See you again, soon.

Hot Hot Summer

 I took these photos in Denver before I moved, on what felt like a pretty hot day. I forgot how hot it gets in Phoenix though! I'm definitely going to continue living in floaty sundresses, probably into September. Happy Wednesday!

A Moving Day Movie

Today is moving day, so I thought it only fitting to show you this video is from a few summers ago when I lived in Arizona. My friend Brent Henderson is the genius behind the camera. I hope you enjoy the video!

I'm pretty excited to be going back to the desert, and especially back to my friends and family there, though I'm definitely going to miss Denver and everyone here. It's always so tough saying goodbye! I'll be taking the next few days off for the move, but I hope you have a fabulous rest of the week and a wonderful weekend!

Sun Hands

Mint Condition

While I am not generally one to wear a ton of color, mint has a been an obsession of mine this summer. Both the flavor and the color. I especially love it with pink, and am going to have to paint my nails pink the next time I wear this skirt. I love it with silver too though, thus the heels. Best Car

This was the best car in the parking lot at the Timberline Lodge. Clearly, it warranted a photo shoot of its own.

Independence Day

 This year's 4th of July involved plenty of water (both rivers and lakes), a stop at a flea market, amazing people, a spectacular fireworks display, and plenty of red, white, and blue. Check out the fireworks and my first ever attempt at paddle boarding here, not to mention my flea market finds of a cowboy hat and flag. This year's Independence Day celebration will definitely be tough to beat. Thanks to everyone who made it so much fun!

July, July

 I always have to listen to The Decemberists' Castaways and Cutouts album when July rolls arounds, partially for this song. Do you have any summer favorites in terms of music? 

Cutoffs and oversized tanks are perfect for the muggy days we keep having in Denver. This particular day also produced a spectacular lightening storm, followed by a torrential downpour. Luckily, I was inside for most of the downpour, but the lightening before was worth getting a bit wet for. Thunderstorms are my favorite in the summer.
