Shopping Break

Before I moved, I took a break from packing to head to Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale. Casual Friday

I've been running around like crazy all week, and still have so much to do. I'm moving to Phoenix next week, and so have been getting my car serviced, packing, buying boxes and more boxes, squeezing in last minute appointments, and generally finalizing all those details necessary for a move. My apartment is slowly being taken over by a growing pile of boxes filled mostly with shoes, clothes, and books, so far, and there's still a lot more where that came from. Packing up the kitchen is the worst part, I think. Everything is so fragile! I'll be taking a break from packing this weekend to celebrate my birthday and say goodbye to my friends on Saturday night, though I'll likely spend most of my actual birthday (on Monday) still packing. Anyone want to help? Have a great weekend!

Mint Condition

While I am not generally one to wear a ton of color, mint has a been an obsession of mine this summer. Both the flavor and the color. I especially love it with pink, and am going to have to paint my nails pink the next time I wear this skirt. I love it with silver too though, thus the heels. My Own Private Idaho

Timberline Lodge

Built during the Great Depression as a Works Progress Administration project, the Timberline Lodge is a stunning piece of architecture, made from locally sourced wood and stone. The ski lifts directly adjacent to the building don't hurt, either. Sadly, I was unable to ski, though the lifts operate on weekends all summer, but I hope to be back again to ski Mt. Hood soon!

Western Summer

This tank top screams Colorado, as do homemade cutoff shorts. And with the heat wave we've been having in Denver, nothing is more practical. This weekend, I'm looking forward to a baseball game, plenty of lying around in the sun, and finishing my current read. What are your plans? Happy weekend!

Summer Teeth

Navy and white is one of my favorite summer combos, which made the purchase of these shorts a no-brainer. The aztec print just seemed to lend itself to the moccasins. And these particular moccasins make me feel like Peter Pan when I'm wearing them, but this doesn't seem like a bad thing. Here's to never really growing up.
