This outfit is a little more matchy-matchy than I usually go for, but I kind of love it. I became a bit obsessed with the top after seeing it in the J. Crew catalogue, and was surprised by how good it looked even though it's a bit shorter than I usually like. Also, the sleeves are kind of my favorite length ever. I've been telling myself I don't need another shirt with the same exact fit, but I think I'm losing that battle. Expect more soon. J. Crew, you win again.

Frozen Lake
Even entirely frozen, Lake Calhoun is still one of my favorite places in Minneapolis. This trip to the Twin Cities was entirely too short, but it was great seeing the few friends I was able to meet up with. I'm on my way to warmer weather today though. Scottsdale, here I come!

Broadripple is Burning
In case you were wondering, it is definitely still winter in Minneapolis. Luckily, I'm only a day away from what already feels like summer in Scottsdale. These photos are from last week there, in what I wish I were able to wear today. I'm coming back for you, cacti.
In the meantime, I'm cruising the chilly streets of the Twin Cities listening to Margot & the Nuclear So and So's. If you haven't already, check them out here. They're pretty great, and always feel perfect for wintery days in Minneapolis.

Ham on Rye
I'm on the road again today, or in the air rather, on my way to Minneapolis after a fabulous few days in the mountains. Do you ever get those days when you're nostalgic for no real reason at all? Today is one of them for me. With spring right around the corner, I'm already missing these spectacular mountain views, and the skiing that went with them. It feels like everything is on the verge of change, which I suppose is mostly true. Spring is the season of rebirth, after all. But it's going to be a good one, I can feel it.
Or maybe I'm just reading too much Bukowski.

Sparkles & Stripes
It felt like a perfect fall day about a week ago in Denver, but winter has returned with a vengeance to the state. I was skiing in bitterly cold single digit temps this past weekend, but the snow was too good to pass up. And for that, I'll take it. But I am looking forward to another weekend in Arizona, after a brief stop in the arctic Minnesota to thoroughly chill me to my bones. These past few weeks have been pretty busy with travel, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't love it. Do you like to travel? Where is your favorite place to visit? I generally don't spend too long in any one spot, but it always seems worth it regardless.

Thank you, Jenny, for the photos!

Live At Red Rocks
One of my very best friends from college came out to visit last weekend, giving me the chance to play tourist in Denver a bit. Red Rocks, just a short drive from the city, was on the top of the list of must-see places, both for its spectacular views and its place in history as one of the best outdoor venues ever. If you ever get the chance, I whole-heartedly recommend going to a show there.
Thank you for the photos, Jenny!

This last photo is from last summer when Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons opened for Norah Jones at Red Rocks. The entire show was nothing short of magical.

Scent of Pinks
I did some serious damage at J. Crew recently, in part because all of their tops were on sale. Walking into such a sale when I had already been lusting after a few pieces was not helpful for my wallet, but I am very pleased with my purchases. This particular tee seems to have endless possibilities for dressing up even the most basic bottoms. And leather and tweed has never felt so fun!

Bring on Spring
I am more than ready for everything spring, and everything floral. These shoes are quite a few years old, but still just as fabulous for spring as when I first got them. Good work on that one, Coach. Bring on the sunshine!
