Country Strong

Tie Dyed

I'm not generally one for tie dye, but this t-shirt dress was too awesome to ignore. The impeccable tailoring Theyskens' Theory insists on in all of its products didn't hurt, either.

My Heart To Boston

 Yesterday was a strong reminder that there are much worse things in this world than snow in April. My heart goes out to you, Boston, and everyone affected by the tragedy yesterday.

Salmon Fishing

That salmon came straight from Alaska, which was pretty awesome to say the least. Also awesome is this hoodie, which I've had for years and can't imagine getting rid of. Double breasted? Yes, please. 

This snow is in Vail, but Denver is far too closely resembling this for any day after April 1st. Come back, Spring!

Frozen Lake

Even entirely frozen, Lake Calhoun is still one of my favorite places in Minneapolis. This trip to the Twin Cities was entirely too short, but it was great seeing the few friends I was able to meet up with. I'm on my way to warmer weather today though. Scottsdale, here I come!

South Lake Tahoe

These are the only outfit photos from an entire week in Tahoe, but I do have a lot of photos from skiing that I want to share with you guys. Suffice it to say that the twenty plus inches of snow the area received while we were there made for a pretty fabulous trip. Here's to next time, Tahoe!

Madeline

 For some reason this coat always reminds me of Ludwig Bemelmans' Madeline, and her adorable little blue dress. The red bag only adds to that allusion, at least in my head. Do you ever find yourself dressing like a character you knew growing up? Or someone now? Inspiration truly comes from everywhere.

I made it safely to California yesterday, between the scattered snowstorms and high winds in Colorado. Expect photos from L.A. later this week!

Truth

Everything has been all about spring lately, but Denver just received a fresh coat of snow. Weather patterns as they are here, it should be gone in a day or two, but I can't wait for some warmer weather. Luckily, I'm off on a quick trip to Los Angeles today! Give Me Your Eyes, I Need Sunshine

 As I'm sure you've noticed, I love winter. Even more so since moving to Colorado, and the snow filled Rocky Mountains. However, those random sunny, sixty degree days that Denver gets mid-winter are still very much appreciated. Friday was one of them.
